About Journal
The bi-monthly China & World Economy was launched in 1993 by the Institute of World Economics and Politics, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS). It is the first English-language journal in China devoted to the topic of the Chinese economy.

Submission Process
Submit manuscripts online at http:// mc.manuscriptcentral.com/cwe

General Guidelines for Authors
Submissions should be double-spaced. The top, bottom and side margins should be at least 30 mm. All pages should be numbered consecutively in the top right-hand corner, beginning with the title page.

Parts of the Manuscript
Manuscripts should be presented in the following order: (i) title page, (ii) abstract, key words and JEL codes, (iii) text, (iv) references and (v) appendices.

Title page
The title page should contain: (i) the title of the paper, (ii) the full names of the authors and (iii) their positions at relevant institutions (e.g. Associate Professor), (iv) the addresses of the institutions at which the work was carried out together with (v) the full postal and email address, plus facsimile and telephone numbers, of the author to whom correspondence about the manuscript should be sent, (vi) an abstract of no more than 150 words, (vii) key words, and (viii) JEL codes. The present address of any author, if different from that where the work was carried out, should be supplied in a footnote.

The title should be short, informative and contain the major key words. Do not use abbreviations in the title. A short running title (less than 40 characters) should also be provided.

The source of financial grants and other funding must be acknowledged, including a frank declaration of the authors’ industrial links and affiliations. The contribution of colleagues or institutions should also be acknowledged. Personal thanks and thanks to anonymous reviewers are not appropriate. Acknowledgements should be provided as a footnote on the title page.

Abstract, key words and JEL codes
All articles must have a brief abstract that states in 150 words or fewer the major points made and the principal conclusions reached. The abstract should not contain abbreviations or references.

After the abstract a list of three to five key words (for the purposes of indexing) should be supplied below the abstract in alphabetical order.

Please include 3-4 JEL codes after the abstract.

Text
The text should be organized into an introductory section, conveying the background and purpose of the report, and then into sections identified with subheadings.
